In this Post, I will try to take a close look at Search Engine Optimization and explain what it is.

We all heard how it’s important, many companies spend lot’s of money on SEO marketing, be in top ten is essential for every business, you need to have a blog to spread information across the internet and many more… All of these you will find below.

Brief Story

Search Engine Optimization or simply SEO was founded approximately in 1991.

In 1990, some people think, was created the first Search Engine “Archie” by McGill University student Alan Emtage

Before that, the Idea of creating an archive of data came to Dr. Vannevar Bush. In his publication “The Atlantic” he mentioned “Collection of data and observations, the extraction of Parallel material from the existing record, and the final insertion of new material into the general body of common record”, now, we believe, known as Google.

As you can see, the Search Engine Optimization is a part of Search Engine. From this understanding comes all rules you have to follow to be successful in SEO.

What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimization is a process of making your web resource (website, web application) readable for Search Engine Bots.

This is a simple explanation of onsite SEO. You have to make a right structure of your HTML page, mention meta keywords and meta description, choose Title that explains the idea of your page, make your page load fast, so visitors don’t leave (in 2018 you will lose 50% of all traffic if your page loads more then 3 seconds), optimize media (pictures, videos, gifs) you use and other.

In 2018 SEO is a difficult and long process that brings us to Offsite SEO. Sharing your information online through social media, video and audio services, backlinks and more is number one priority for getting top results in search.

There are more than 50 different factors modern Search Engines like Google use to determine what position your website should get in Search. And these only the Real factors every one knows about, but Google, for example, is a huge algorithm that improves itself every second and provides with new results all the time. Google programmers work on improvement of this algorithm all the time as well, and they very rarely share the information of changes they make. All of this make Search Engine Optimization a long process and only professionals can drive real results.

What is Search Engine Optimization stands for?

As I mentioned before Search Engine Optimization is essential for your web resource.

In the world of web, by 2017 were more than 1.7 billion websites, only 200 million are active, but still, this amount is huge! Can you imagine how difficult it is to find your new website on the web? And here comes SEO, one of the ways people can find your website (80% of all purchases in internet start form searching Google) is typing their search query in the Search Engines like Google or Bing and it will show your website in the top ten if the information they are looking for on your website is correct and your website optimized.

If your website is in top today, it doesn’t guaranty it will be tomorrow, because Search engine, as I mentioned above, is very dynamic, that’s why it’s very important always to improve your SEO!
